He claimed that Atiku Abubakar met him after he won, asked for his support, and pledged that Ayu would step down in accordance with the people democratic party (PDP) Constitution.
According to information obtain by The Nation, Nyesom Wike asserted that the candidate and the party chairman can never come from the same zone without consequences, calling it absurd that Senator Iyorchia Ayu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the presidential candidate for people democratic party (PDP) had broken their pledges.
