Two tankers belonging to a coaltar manufacturing company were gutted by fire at Hadeija road in the Kano metropolis.
An alarm was raised after residents sighted smoke coming from the premises around 6:55 am on Wednesday, March 23.
The Kano State Fire Service arrived at the scene at about 7:00 am to contain the fire after being notified of the incident.
Though the cause of the fire has not been uncovered, the Public Relations Officer of the service, Yusuf Abdullahi linked it to hoodlums smoking around a nearby refuse dump.
