Former Super Falcons Goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, Passes Away Following Eight-Year Battle with Cancer

Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, former goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has sadly passed away after an eight-year fight against breast cancer.

Initially diagnosed in April 2017, she received the all-clear a year later post-treatment and mastectomy. However, the disease resurfaced in January 2019, leading to 10 chemotherapy sessions.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the heartbreaking news via their official handle on Saturday, expressing condolences to her family and wishing her gentle soul eternal rest.
