The report stated on Facebook and has spread to Twitter and other social media platforms,

The report reads: “American billionaire Larry Ellison donates 1m$ to “Peter Obi” Presidential campaign, offers to build “Plane Manufacturing Company” in Nigeria if Peter Obi wins.”

Who is Larry Ellison?

Lawrence Joseph Ellison is an American business magnate and investor who is the co-founder, executive chairman, chief technology officer, and former chief executive officer of the American computer technology company Oracle Corporation. According to Forbes, Ellison’s net worth is about 96.7 billion USD.

Checks by IDOMA VOICE on the social media pages of Larry Ellison showed that there was no mention of donation to Obi or Nigerian politics.

In fact, the last time Larry Ellison tweeted was in 2012 and it has nothing to do with Nigerian politics.

Similarly, checks on Obi’s social media handles showed that there was no acknowledgment of any donation from Larry Ellison.
