The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) criticised Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, on Saturday for making a pledge to put a stop to the South-East African Biafra struggle.
If elected president of Nigeria in 2023, the former vice president had on Tuesday pledged to put an end to the South-East agitations.
Abubakar promised to govern effectively and provide justice and equity for all when he met with South-East stakeholders in Enugu.
However, IPOB referred to the PDP candidate’s comment as stupid in a statement released by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful.
Additionally, the group charged Atiku with boasting about things that were beyond his scope.
The statement read: “The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was drawn to the statement credited to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at Enugu State where he was ranting how he would stop Biafra agitation if he becomes the president.
