MNU Vs ARS: Why VAR Were Wrong Cancel Arsenal’s Goal Against Man United

[ad_1]

Manchester United vs Arsenal match kicked off at exactly 4:30 pm this evening and after 12 minutes of action we got to see the Gunners open the scoring at Old Trafford, after Gabriel Martinelli found the back of the net effortlessly from Bukayo Saka’s pass. The goal was however ruled out VAR after a quick review, as the decision was made due to a foul Martin Odegaard made on Christian Eriksen during the build up play to the goal.

This another poor decision made by VAR this week as Martin Odegaard’s foul on Eriksen wasn’t substantial enough to warrant the cancellation of Gabriel Martinelli’s brilliant goal. In my opinion, the goal should have stood because Odegaard barely made physical contact with Eriksen as the Danish International only fell to the ground due to the position he was in.
