Erik ten Hag led Manchester United team were in action today in their 6th league game of the new English Premier League season at home against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side at the Old Trafford.
The Red Devils in the game were able to maintain their unbeaten streaks which they have now extended to a four-game running after their first two league openers ended in a disappointing defeats against Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford respectively.
Manchester United in the game were very formidable against the North London club who have been enjoying a blistering run of form prior the game.
A brace from Marcus Rashford and a goal from debutant Antony Dos Santos gave the host the three goals with Arsenal netting their only goal from Bukayo Saka’s equalizer which ended the game three goals to one at full time.
Here are three players that performed brilliantly for the Red Devils in the crucial encounter that now placed them at the 5th spot on the table with just three points behind table leader:
Marcus Rashford
The England international and forward maestro was fantastic in the game as he was the game changer by getting directly involved in all the three goals scored by the host. He scored a brilliant brace and provided a stunning assist which were enough to secure the whole maximum three points.
Antony Dos Santos
The Brazilian international and former Ajax Amsterdam prolific dazzler was handed his debut in the game and he was able to have an incredible start to his career at the Old Trafford where he scored just 35 minutes into his first ever game as a Manchester United team player.
Lisandro Martinez
The Argentine defender was phenomenal at the heart of the defence line where he delivered at the optimal level using his vast experience to make some dangerous clearances to deny the visitor some clear cut chances that could have been converted into goals.
They will all be hoping to keep their impressive run of form going for their team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
