My Governor, I’m Asking, Please Help Me Bring My Car To Lagos – Singer Buju Begs Sanwo-Olu

Nigerian singer, Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN and formerly known as Buju, has won the 2022 “Next Rated Artiste” Headies Award. The singer beat other nominees – Ayra Starr, Ruger, Zinoleesky and Lojay – to take home the most coveted award of the night. The event which took place on Sunday September 4th was held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, USA.

The award came with a 2022 Bentley Bentayga SUV, and now the singer is saddled with the responsibility of shipping the car to Nigeria. In light of this, Buju has called on the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to help him bring the car to Lagos. He said that he wouldn’t mind the Governor driving the car around town when it arrives.

In the report which was made by Peoples Gazette, he said – “My Governor, please, they gave me a car. The money is plenty please, I can’t bring it to Lagos. If you want to drive it, please you will help me and bring it down to Lagos. My Governor, I’m asking, please help me bring my car to Lagos.”

The singer dedicated the award to other nominees, and to his late mother who died of cancer.

This is a huge win for Buju’s career, and hopefully, the award will push him to do more.

Let’s hope that Governor Sanwo-Olu will respond to his request.
