It’s all going wrong for Liverpool in their first Champions League match of the season against Napoli and after 90 minutes of action, the Premier League side were defeated 4-1 by their host. We got to see the Piotr Zielinski (2), Zambo Anguissa and Giovanni Simeone all get on the scoresheet to give Napoli all three points at their home stadium.
Well, below are three Liverpool players that underperformed in today’s UCL game against Napoli ;
James Milner, Mohamed Salah and Alisson.
Milner will take majority of the blame for Liverpool’s abysmal performance in the match tonight, as his mistake is what gave way for Napoli to dominate the reds and comfortably score four goals. Alisson on the other hand could have done more to stop Napoli attackers from scoring at least two out of the three open play goals that were scored tonight.
While Mohamed Salah was completely kept quiet by Napoli defenders tonight as we got to see him offer nothing attack wise before he was eventually substituted.
