Ondo widow condemned to 42 months in jail for abusing household
A widow recognized as Omoyeni Opeyemi was on Monday, February 14, condemned to three and half years of detainment by a judge court sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital for abusing her 12-year – old house help, Joel Sunday.
The widow was captured in the wake of tormenting her household with extremely sharp steel and a blade at their home on Adebowale Street, in the Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.
During cross-examination, it was uncovered that Omoyemi admitted to tormenting Sunday for taking meat and causing her to bring about an obligation of N100,000.

Tanimowo said;
“Mrs. Alice Ayedun planned to chapel when she saw Joel Sunday crying, with blood on his body and the lady had to stop to see what was occurring; she saw the respondent whipping the kid at the rear of the house.
“She promptly safeguarded the kid from the lady. The respondent had requested that the kid wash the blood off his body after she utilized an extremely sharp edge to cut his body and make open wounds.
“To save the kid from the lady, Ayedun told her that she was a medical attendant and that she was taking the kid to an emergency clinic for therapy. The lady later took the kid to the Fanibi Police Station to report the matter, which prompted the capture of the respondent.
“At the police headquarters, she admitted to the wrongdoing and that she saw that the kid had stuffed every one of the meats in her pot of soup. She said promptly the kid saw her, he attempted to flee, yet she held him. She later took him to the living room where she utilized the extremely sharp steel to cut different pieces of the kid’s body. The kid was subsequently taken to the police center and presently going through treatment, yet in a basic condition.”
The 36-year-old widow who was summoned under the steady gaze of the court on a five-count annoying on endeavored murder, kid misuse, savagery against individual denial among others, was seen as at fault for counts one, four, and five. The Magistrate, Mrs. O.A Edwin struck out count four.
