Professor Grace Alele-Williams died on Friday at the age of 89, she was a professor of mathematics who gained prominence after she was appointed the vice-chancellor of the prestigious University of Benin in 1985 and restored peace and honour to one of the Frontline citadels of learning in Nigeria.
