The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has asked the federal government to rename the presidential villa in Abuja after Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at 96 years old.

Many people around the world have paid tributes to the late monarch.

Charles III Proclaimed New King At Historic Ceremony

Charles III has been formally proclaimed Britain’s new king by the Accession Council on Saturday in a history-laden ceremony following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

The council, televised for the first time, is a centuries-old formality to recognise the new king’s sovereignty even though he automatically became monarch after the queen’s passing.

Police Begin Investigation Of Landlord’s Decomposing Body In Oyo

The Police Command in Oyo State says the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is handling the investigation of the decomposing body of a landlord found in his bedroom at Awotan, Apete area of Ibadan.

It would be recalled that skeleton of the landlord later identified as Aderemi Abiola was discovered in his bedroom by some residents of Awotan Community after long period of searching for him.

The decayed body of the deceased was found glued to his beddings lying upward.

Nigerian Student Goes Missing In Northern Cyprus

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) says a 28-year-old Nigerian student has been reported missing in Northern Cyprus since August 2.

The commission said this in a statement issued in Abuja by its Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocol, Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun.
