Shehu Sani reacts as Nigerian forces’ airstrike mistakenly kills seven Niger Republic children
Kaduna State governorship aspirant, Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the action of the Nigerian Army which led to the killing of seven children in the Niger Republic on Sunday.
Reports emerged yesterday that an airstrike by the Nigerian Army targeting the armed bandits terrorizing parts of Northern Nigeria mistakenly killed at least seven children and injured five others in the Niger Republic.
Reacting, the former lawmaker described the incident as unfortunate, saying such mistakes must be avoided in subsequent times.
In a tweet on his official Twitter handle, Mr. Shehu Sani said the family of the deceased children needs to be compensated.
Be said, “I learned that airstrikes by our forces targeting terrorists mistakenly killed some children in the Niger Republic. It’s unfortunate.
“Such mistakes must be avoided. The parents of the deceased must be compensated. My condolences to the people of Niger Republic”.
