Sowore selects Kano-based attorney Haruna as his running mate, optimistic about the chances of the AAC in 2023

Omoyele Sowore, the AAC’s presidential candidate, on Thursday selected Haruna Garba Magashi, a lawyer, to be his running partner in the general elections in 2023.

He revealed this during a press conference in Abuja.

He claimed that Magashi was chosen because of his capacity to win the party’s support in the election in Kano State.

The proprietor of the Sahara Reporters also expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would lose ground to the AAC in Kano the next year.

He said: “We hope to defeat APC (All Progressives Congress) over there because the governor has messed up; we know that we will defeat PDP (Peoples Democratic Party), that’s the party that’s in crisis as we speak.

“We don’t need to talk about the Labour Party in Kano because the party doesn’t exist.

“We know that we will defeat Alhaji Kwankwaso and his party, the NNPP (New Nigeria Peoples Party) in Kano because we have got someone who is from there.”
