NIG 4-5 GHA: How The Super Eagles Based Team’s Display Speaks Volumes Of Their Great Fighting Spirit

The Super Eagles Based Team were in action in the CHAN qualifiers yesterday when they welcomed arch-rivals Ghana to the Moshood Abiola Stadium in what was said to be their second leg encounter. For some who might not know, the Super Eagles lost 2-0 in their first leg encounter against Ghana as they hoped to overturn the result in the second leg.

Well, Nigeria had a fantastic performance in their return leg at home as they were able to defeat the Black Galaxies 2-0 at full-time courtesy of goals from Zulkifilu Muhammed and Chijioje Akuneto which took the match to penalties. Unfortunately, the Super Eagles lost 4:5 to Ghana on penalties as they failed to qualify for the CHAN competition next year. Well, despite the loss for the Super Eagles, I believe their performance in the match still speaks volumes of their great fighting spirit.

The Nigerian Players fought really hard till the end making sure they get the equaliser against Ghana which they did but lost out on penalties. It was a good display from the Nigerian team clearly showing us they possess a great fighting spirit which could come in handy for them in other matches.
