Suspended UNICAL Dean Claims Consensual Relationship Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations”

Cyril Ndifon, the suspended Dean of the University of Calabar’s Faculty of Law, finds himself embroiled in controversy as he faces allegations of sexual harassment. Ndifon has come forward to assert that his involvement with a diploma graduate, known as TKJ, was consensual, challenging the accusations levied against him.

The allegations stem from a four-count charge filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). It is alleged that Ndifon coerced TKJ into performing oral sex in exchange for admission into the LLB program at the university.

In response, Ndifon’s legal team, led by Joe Agi (SAN), has submitted a no-case submission, arguing that the exchanges between Ndifon and TKJ suggest a consensual relationship, marked by expressions of love and affection. The defense also contends that ICPC violated Ndifon’s fundamental rights by seizing his phones without a court order.
