The Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum, Mr. C.I.D Maduabum, recently reacted to popular news concerning the alleged resignation of the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, as the Chairman of the party’s governors forum, and was replaced by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
You might have read that some media outlets reported on Thursday that Governor Aminu Tambuwal had resigned from his position as the PDP governor’s forum and was appointed as the Director General(DG) of the 2023 presidential campaign council. According to Mr. C.I.D. Maduabum, the news was to be refuted and treated as untrue.
In this same light, Honorable Debo Ologumagba, the National Publicity Secretary for the PDP, clarified that he had not received any news of Governor Tambuwal’s resignation. According to Mr. Debo, “It is not true as at this time, I have no information that he has resigned, and if he has resigned, I will be in the best position to know.”
Mr. Debo added that the only news of resignation he received was that of Senator Walid Jubrin, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), and that was why it was communicated to the press and the public at large.
Keep in mind that Mr. Adolphus Wabara was elected as the new chairman of the Board of Trustees(BoT) for the PDP.
