The dispute between Paul Pogba and his brother Mathias was one of the most surprising stories of the summer and it has continued in recent days.
The Juventus midfielder is at the centre of a case of “attempted extortion by an organised gang” linked to Pogba.
Pogba has complained to the French authorities that he was caught by masked men and childhood friends who demanded €13 million from him.
It is alleged that he was threatened several times and that one of the gang members is his brother Mathias, as has been suggested – they even visited him at the Juventus training centre.
Pogba hired magicians for charity:
Mathias claims that Pogba even hired a witch, and Mathias claims he did so to cast a spell on French international and Pogba’s teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Pogba offered to pay the gang members €100,000, but they refused, saying they wanted €13 million from him and continued their blackmail attempts.
Pogba was visited several times by the gang, including once in Manchester in April and once more at the Juventus training ground in July, after which the player decided to take legal action.
It has now been revealed that Pogba actually paid the magician, but not to harm Mbappe, but to help him for a charity for children in Africa that he was supporting.
According to FranceInfo, Pogba now believes that his brother is acting on the orders of gang members and that he is under strong pressure from them.
Mathias had previously commented on the situation, “It’s not about money: when all is said and done, people will see that there is no greater coward, traitor and hypocrite than you on this earth.”
“Kylian, do you understand now? I have nothing negative against you, my words are for your good, everything is true and proven, the wizard is known!
“Forgive this brother, a so-called Muslim who is deeply into witchcraft, it is never good to have a hypocrite and a traitor by your side!”
It is not yet known how far this case will go, but currently the investigation is ongoing and more will be revealed in the coming weeks.
