In December 2022, Anthony Joshua stated that he would be prepared to face Tyson Fury, the current world champion. The British boxer was reacting to a public call for a “Battle of Britain” that was made on Monday. Oleksandr Usyk, the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO champion from Ukraine, defeated Joshua in their title rematch last month in Saudi Arabia. However, the 32-year-old is keen to fight once more before the year is up.
Fury added, “I’d want to give Anthony Joshua an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months. I know you just lost a fight to Usyk, and you’re bout-less right now. Joshua said that if Fury kept his word, he would be willing to fight. I don’t participate in internet debates purely for power. “So if you’re really about it, shout @258mgt (Joshua’s management business). if you’re serious about it I’ll be prepared in December,” Joshua promised in his Instagram story.
