Veteran Actor John Okafor, Popularly Known as Mr Ibu, Passes Away After Battling Blood Clotting on Leg

Renowned actor John Okafor, famously known as Mr Ibu, has sadly passed away in a Lagos state hospital on Saturday, March 2, after a prolonged struggle with blood clotting in his leg. Despite undergoing a second surgery recently and being on life support, his blood pressure remained dangerously high, exceeding 200, ultimately leading to his demise.

Mr Ibu had been grappling with blood clotting issues and other health complications for years, publicly seeking financial aid for his treatment in October 2023.

Although plans were made to fly him abroad for further medical intervention, doctors deemed him unfit for travel, leading to the cancellation of the trip.

Tragically, during the course of his treatment, his leg had to be amputated in November 2023. Survived by his wife and children, the 62-year-old actor was widely celebrated for his exceptional portrayal of comedic roles in movies. His legacy in the entertainment industry will forever be cherished
