Why Chelsea Fans Should Not Raise Their Expectations About Graham Potter

[ad_1]

Thomas Tuchel’s last days as Chelsea Manager might have been marred with struggles and inconsistency but the German Gaffer has definitely raised the bar very high for Graham Potter and any other Manager that will come after him.

Having won the UEFA Champions League in less than 5 months of taking charge and eventually helping Chelsea to complete their trophy set by winning the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, many Chelsea Fans and football enthusiasts reckoned that the management of the West London club should have given Thomas Tuchel more chances.

Barely 48 hours after Thomas Tuchel was sacked, Chelsea have already moved on. The West London club have announced the appointment of Graham Potter as the new Head Coach of the club. The Blues offered the former Brighton and Hove Albion Manager 5 years contract.

While it’s understandable that some Chelsea Fans are not yet over their shock and feelings over the retrenchment of Thomas Tuchel, the next thing to do is to back the new Head Coach Graham Potter, and hope that he gets the best out of the Players and return to club to winning way.

However, Chelsea Fans shouldn’t have early and high expectations about Graham Potter as this will only lead to more headache. Graham Potter didn’t exactly have a great winning rate in the Premier League. He did managed to help the Seagulls finished in their best ever position on the League table last season but his overall win rate is unimpressive.

Graham Potter’s win rate in the Premier League stands at just 28.3% having lost 42 games and draw 44 games out of 120 Premier League games he has managed.
