There is no option to victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections, National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu told party members yesterday.
Insisting that opposition parties must not be granted any room in any elected seats during the elections, he asked party supporters to put in a lot of effort and assure the win for the ruling party.
At the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, the chairman addressed the Tinubu/Shettima Women Council, which is comprised of the wives of Senators Oluremi Tinubu and Hajiya Nana Shettima.
A group of women paid a courtesy call to the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, the wives of the APC presidential candidate and his running mate, respectively .
According to The Nation, Adamu warned that the party will not accept anything less than victory and expressed the leadership’s willingness to ensure the party’s success at the polls.
We have pledged to support the presidential candidate and his vice presidential running mate, he stated. You may therefore be sure that we will be working together in this contest to some extent. To ensure the success of this work, we will gladly do anything you ask of us.
“I only have one item I want to emphasise to you. There is no option to triumph. We must not leave any room at all. By God’s grace, we must restore this government. I believe in God, and I want God to value me and what we are doing.
“Winning is only a matter of working hard. There is absolutely no other option, therefore don’t be embarrassed to admit as much. We are not striving to end up in the tribunal but working to end up in the Villa.
