Ahead of the 2023 presidential elections, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday visited the national secretariat of his party alongside his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and slammed the Labour Party LP Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi for falsifying economic statistics to woo gullible Nigerians.

This was as it emerged that the Tinubu and the NWC have agreed on certain grey areas regarding the composition of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

We Will Continue To Fight For Our Space In PDP – Makinde Tells Wike

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has declared that the governors in the camp of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike will continue to fight for their space in the PDP.

Makinde made the declaration on Wednesday during the commissioning of the Emohua campus of the Rivers State University where he was the special guest of honour.

The Governor who spoke about the outcome of the PDP presidential primaries said his camp lost the battle while standing for the truth.

Obasanjo Will Support Atiku

Mr Charles Aniagwu, Spokesman for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar’s Campaign Organisation, has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would support Atiku in 2023 election.

Aniagwu, who doubles as Delta’s Commissioner for Information, stated this while fielding questions from newsmen on Wednesday in Asaba.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aniagwu was recently appointed as the spokesman for the Atiku Campaign Organisation ahead of the open campaigns to drive the Atiku/Okowa ticket to fruition come 2023.

Peter Obi Visits Okonjo-Iweala At WTO To Discuss Nigeria’s Economic Recovery

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), on Wednesday, visited Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the headquarters of World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to a tweet by Obi, he visited Okonjo-Iweala, WTO director-general, to “discuss and gain some insight about Nigeria’s economic recovery”.

The WTO director-general also shared a photo of the visit on Twitter.

Troops Kill Two Bandits In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has said troops of the Nigerian Army repelled bandits at the Fondisho general area, along the Kaduna – Zaria road, killing two.

The commissioner said the troops, while responding to intelligence, ambushed the bandits at a location and overpowered them.

The statement read in part, “On entering the area, the bandits sprang the ambush and came under intense fire as they were stoutly repelled by the troops. Two of the criminals were thus neutralized.”

FEC Approves Nigeria-Kuwait Bilateral Air Deal

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the signing of a Bilateral Air Services Agreement between Nigeria and Kuwait.

Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing State House Correspondents after the FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sirika said that the agreement would open up airline services between the two countries in accordance with the provisions of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
