In an interview with Arise News, Victor Ayeye, SDP House of Representatives candidate, Osun State, said that in Nigeria, we want to use the old age to run the jet-age generation.
Victor Ayeye made the statement when he was responding to the question about whether the youths have developed the flexibility or capacity to hold down party politics and change the old guard.
Victor Ayeye began by saying that he falls into the category of the Nigerian youths and that is why, when we look at what is happening presently, the youths are ready. They have seen that some people have misled them for a long time, and for that reason, they are ready to take over the mechanisms of government.
He observed that those who are at the departing lounge (old generations) are still the ones wanting to keep controlling our economy. He said the future belongs to the young and the old should allow them to lead.
He said the people in the first, second, and third republics have failed the youths and that it is time for them to withdraw and allow the youths to take over. He said we are in the jet age, but in this country, we want to use the old age to run the jet generation. He said he believes it is time for the youths to take over.
