Detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Tuesday pronounced that, the verdict of trail judge, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, denying him bail and adjourning his trial was ‘expected’.
The 54-year-old separatist leader asked the people of the southeast region to “remain calm” and make the zone peaceful.
According to him, “It is what we expect. But I want our people to be very calm. I want Biafranland to be calm, calm, and very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them. He said after his bail denial.
“We are fighting to defend them, that’s why I’m here. And we will continue to do so until we get victory,” Kanu concluded.
