“Monarchy Is No More Respected In Nigeria, It Has Been Politicized And Bastardised” – Prince Adeyemi

Prince Adeyemi Olateru-Olagbegi has disclosed that monarchy in Nigerian is no more respected as it used to be, stressing that monarchy in Nigeria has become bastardised and politicized.

Prince Adeyemi Olateru-Olagbegi who made the remarks during an interview,

stressed that it is very sad the way monarchy is being looked at in Nigeria today. According to him monarchy used to be very respected in the days of his father.

Prince Adeyemi Olateru-Olagbegi made the submission when he was reacting to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He revealed that his father was one of those who welcomed Queen Elizabeth II in Nigeria when the queen visited Nigeria in 1956.

You will recall that the queen of England, late queen Elizabeth II visited Nigeria in 1956 and spent about 20 days in Nigeria.

Prince Adeyemi Olateru-Olagbegi’s father was nighted by the queen in 1960, the same year Nigeria got her independence. Prince Adeyemi Olateru-Olagbegi extolled the queen for the great life she lived while on earth.
