NDLEA intercepts 476kg of cannabis, seizes 4,000 tablets of Tramadol in Kano, Adamawa
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has disclosed that its operatives have arrested a 34-year-old man with 476kg of cannabis in Kano.
Femi Babafemi, Director, Media, and Advocacy of the NDLEA, made the disclosure in a statement on Sunday.
The statement added that the suspect, Nasiru Abdulrahman, was arrested at Kwanar Dan Gora, Kiru Local Government Area of the state last Friday.
According to the statement, the operatives of the anti-narcotics agency also seized 4,000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg from a 24-year-old Abdulmiminu Abubakar who was arrested at Gidan Madara, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The statement added that the suspect was arrested while traveling on a motorcycle to deliver the drugs in Bukula, Cameroon Republic.
“He claimed another suspect, Fahad Mohammed, 19, gave the consignment to him. Fahad was later arrested in a follow-up operation at his home in Kasuwan Borkono Area of Mubi town”, it stated.
The Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd) in the statement while commanding officers and men of Kano and Adamawa states commands for the arrests and seizures also charged them and their colleagues across the country to intensify the offensive action against all drug cartels in every part of Nigeria.
