The People Democratic Party, PDP’s Governorship candidates have disclosed their final step toward finding lasting solution to the political crisis between Abubakar Atiku, the party’s presidential flag bearer, and Nyesom Wike, the Governor of River State.
Vanguard reported that the PDP governorship candidates, are going to meet with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to take a decision about the issue.
According to the statement, “We are going to make a final decision after we meet with the National Working Committee of the PDP.”
More fact have emerged at the proposed meeting with the NWC as Isa Mohammed Ashiru, one of the PDP governorship candidates in Kaduna State, revealed that the crisis between Wike and Atiku is already resolved.
Recall, Ashiru had led a delegation of sixteen other PDP governorship candidates including Jigawa, Sokoto, Katsina, to meet with Governor Wike in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The PDP governorship candidates pleaded with Governor Wike to support Atiku and his vice presidential candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, including Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s National Chairman.
Vanguard News reported that the meeting which lasted for about two hours, the PDP governorship candidates pleaded with the Rivers State Governor to forgive Atiku and Ayu.
