Prof. Pat Utomi Reacts To Reports That Obi Is Planning To Source Campaign Funds From Diasporas

Eminent Professor of Economics and Labour Party(LP) chieftain, Prof. Pat Utomi while speaking few hours ago on Channels TV explains how the party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi are planning for the commencement of the 2023 presidential campaign that is scheduled to take off later this month. Prof. Utomi who is currently with Obi in the United States on their sensitization tour of Nigerians living in the diaspora, took his time to deny the rumoured reports that he is having issues with Obi over campaign funding, tagging it fake news.
On the question of whether it is legal to source campaign funds from abroad, Prof. Utomi and Channels TV anchorman, Seun were engaged in a heated argument on the constitutionality of such action. When Seun raised the concern that such funds might be confiscated by the government, Prof. Utomi retorted that why didn’t the government do the same when foreign currencies were reportedly shared during the presidential primaries of APC and PDP while dismissively stating that Seun is a victim of the law.
Prof. Utomi who stepped down for Obi during LP presidential primary, announced that the party will soon open a portal where interested Nigerians can contribute money for the presidential campaign of Obi.
