Rt Hon. Marcus Onobun Of The Federal House Of Representatives Involved In An Auto Crash, Hospitalised.

The immediate past Speaker of Edo State House Of Assembly, Rt Hon. Marcus Onobun, has been involved in a horrible auto accident on his way to Abuja.
The lawmaker, who is said to be in critical condition following the ghastly crash on Wednesday, has since been hospitalised.
Onobun represents Esan West, Esan Central and Igueben Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
He was said to have sustained multiple fractures when a vehicle he was travelling in fell into ditch and somersaulted multiple times along Ekpoma-Abuja Highway.
Mr Onobun was travelling from Benin to Abuja, after missing his flight when the accident happened, He was subsequently rushed to the hospital, and doctors said he would make full recovery.
The wreckage of the lawmaker’s vehicle, a dark-brown Mitsubishi SUV, showed a detached airbag system, a shattered windshield and a disfigured roof.
A member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Onobun was the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly from 2020 until he was elected to the federal House during the last general elections held in February.
