Court docket orders last forfeiture of N325m Lekki property linked to Diezani

A Federal Excessive Court docket in Lagos has ordered the ultimate forfeiture of “a vacant plot of land” within the Lekki space of Lagos stated to be linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Assets, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The order was given on Friday, March 25 by Justice Akintayo Aluko, following software filed by the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee.

Defendants within the forfeiture software for the property listed as Plot 13, Block II, Oniru Chieftaincy Household Personal Property, Lekki, Lagos and stated to value N325.4m, are Diezani, Mr. Donald Chidi Amamgbo, and Mez Group LLC.

Ruling on the case, Justice Aluko stated;

Upon reading affidavit in support of the motion paper sworn to by Babana Job of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of 15A Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State; and the court having heard A.O.

“It is hereby ordered as follow: That a final order is hereby granted forfeiting the property/asset listed and described in the schedule herein to the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
