It was a case of two fierce rivals taking on each other with Arsenal having won their first five league games of the season while Manchester United lost their first two league games of the season. They had, however, won their last three, and the game against Arsenal was meant to be their sternest test yet. The Red Devils passed in flying colors with goals from Antony and Marcus Rashford (twice) ensuring that it would be four wins in a row for the Red Devils.
Earlier on matchday six, Manchester City was only able to draw against Aston Villa while Tottenham Hotspur also played a 1-1 draw. Chelsea won by two goals to one against West Ham United.
