A few hours ago, the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) Director of Publicity and Advocacy, Doctor Hakeem Baba-Ahmed while sharing on his official Twitter page has replied a man who asked for his views regarding a statement made by Bashir El-Rufai, the son of the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Bashir El-Rufai while sending his condolences to late Queen Elizabeth has recommended the British Colonial establishment for placing the North at the peak of in Nigeria many years ago.
While sharing on his official Twitter page, Bashir El-Rufai made it known that the British Colonial establishment placed the North at the peak of power in Nigeria, and for that reason he will always be indebted to the British Royal Crown and the method of indirect rule for his people and his dear monarchs.
Based on these notes, a Twitter user has asked Hakeem Baba-Ahmed to share his views regarding this statement.
In response to this statement, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said, “Nothing, really. Understanding the substance of history is important. It is not something you interpret the way you want it to be, and then use it to score contemporary goals”.
