The former governor of Kano State and a former leader in the APC, Ibrahim Shekarau, has described the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as “unwise”. Speaking on AIT News, Shekarau revealed that he advocated for the presidential ticket to go to the South before he left the party.
Addressing the topic, Shekarau said, “We are still managing to carry ourselves along, and I still subscribe to the idea of inclusiveness. Look at the controversy surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC presidential candidate. I think it was a very unwise decision, as we have come a long way.
He continued, “They are equating it to 1993, but things have changed. However, we continue to overheat the political scene.
You may recall that former governor Shekarau recently joined the PDP in Kano State, where he was received by the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, and other party leaders.
